I'm an artist, not a programmer. I drew every frame of these overlays by hand, and 40,000 streamers use them. But the widget engine is duct tape and prayers.

The chat widget dies when OBS updated its embedded Chromium. I can reproduce it but I can't read the stack trace. Console logs attached.
